After a friend brought me one of their chocolate baskets, I was hooked. You can check out all their tempting bakes on their Instagram to get an idea of how creative the specialty bake shop can be. Everything is delish, but you have to try their umami biscuit - it’s addictive! It may seem a little difficult to find or get to, but parking is right next to it in the Alii parking garage.

One of the best bakeries on the island. Love everything especially the epicurean cheesecakes. Cristina is always so welcoming when we pop in. If you want a bakery that exudes the aloha spirit visit Beyond Pastry!

I’m from Waipahu so it’s pretty rare that i go to town for food. My wife and i were in the area and she pulled this place up online so we checked it out. I wasn’t expecting it, but their mushroom parm roll was one of my favorite things i’ve eaten this year. Check this place out if you’re nearby.

I ate my pastries so fast they didn't get photographed. I asked the person helping me what some of her favorites were and she recommended the futakake hot dog roll (sorry if I got the name wrong). They also had shitake mushroom and cheese roll hot out of the oven and it was a delight. Normally I do not go for that sort of item but this was savory and filling. The ham and cheese roll was decadent and light as well. Saving the Ube sugar roll for later! I will definitely be coming back for more treats! 10/10.

Stumbled upon this hidden bakery in downtown Honolulu, which had a wonderful selection of pastries and breads. Great customer service. I really enjoyed the Blueberry Milk Bread.

Consistently delicious pastries. I go here at least once a week. The staff is always so warm and welcoming. I tend to lean more savory, so I always get either the ham & cheese roll, pumpkin-bacon scone, or the maple bacon pudding.

I’ve been looking at this place from my parking stall in Bishop Square garage every morning for the past couple months. Finally walked across the street to check out. Glad I did. I've wanted to gatekeep BPS for a long time because it's always been my happy place near work that I can always sneak away to get something to treat myself. So when one of my close friends wanted to do a full tasting and review of BPS, I was close to begging to be on the tasting committee. Christina and her team are always so friendly and helpful, especially when you're like myself and want to try all of their items! BPS as a whole is a beautiful company focused on sharing the flavorful culture (pun intended obvi) of being Filipino. All the love, care, and culture can be tasted in every bite of literally anything the team curates. The ingredients are always so fresh and Christina's years of expertise and experience on everything tasty is truly embodied in any and all of the pastries offered at Beyond Pastry Studio. Honorable mentions: Chocolate decadence cake, Pork Sisig pastry, and personal fave is the Malunggay Mushroom Balsamic nest. Whether, visiting or local, Enjoy Filipino Pastry Friday AND the now extended Filipino Food Week (thru 10/31) to continue sharing the flavors of the Philippines. Big ups to Christina and her team for doing their big one!

My wife has been telling me about this wonderful pastry place and she finally brought me a blueberry pastry thing to try. Oh man this place is good! Perfect amount of sugar and blueberries and it’s mixed nicely throughout the pastry (unlike other places where it looks so good but is just on the top). I ate some of it and left the rest in the fridge and forgot about it for a few days. I finally remembered and had the rest and it was still delicious after 10 seconds in the microwave. I don’t know if that’s an official type of test, but to me it just tells me they use great ingredients and good ratios. I just updated my photos as I got to go inside. Oh my gosh this place is good.

Attending a workshop at Beyond Pastry Studio had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I’m so happy I finally got to experience it. I have zero baking experience, but the class was thoughtfully designed for all skill levels. Christina, the owner, is incredibly generous with her knowledge. We made several of their signature pastries, received recipes, and took home everything we made. Needless to say, the baking experience was a blast, but what touched me most was witnessing the genuine love and support this bakery receives from the community. People have such deep respect for Christina, her craft, and the joy she brings through her creations. I can’t recommend the bakery or the workshops enough. After this experience, you’ll appreciate her pastries on a whole new level. Thank you again!
